Schedule pick-up for Purdy schools announced

Registration available online for first time

Back to school plans have been announced for the Purdy school district with some new options available.

The first day of classes will be Aug. 16. For the first time, parents will be able to register students online by logging in to the parent portal. Anyone needing assistance or wanting to register in person may call Susan Funkhouser at 417-442-3216, ext. 1282.

All students need to have registered prior to Aug. 14.

For students picking up schedules, seniors are slated to collect theirs on July 31, from 8:30-11:30 a.m. and from 12:30-3:30 p.m. Juniors are due to pick up scheduled from 8:30-11:30 a.m. or from 12:30-3:30 p.m. on Aug 1. On Aug. 2, sophomores can pick up their schedules from 8:30-11:30 a.m., and freshmen can get their schedules from 12:30-3:30 p.m. Seventh and eighth graders should come in from 8:30 to 1:30 p.m. on Aug. 3.

Schedules will be available at the high school office. Students should plan to pay their technology fee of $20 and any fees still outstanding from last school year. Those who have questions should call Mica at 417-442-3216, ext. 1211.

High school students will be able to pick up their iPads with their schedules providing financial obligations have been met. Technology devices for grades three through eight will be distributed after school begins.

Students who are new to the district may enroll at the superintendent's office from July 31 through Aug. 3 from 8:30-11:30 a.m. or from 12:30-3:30 p.m. Parents need to provide immunization records, student birth certificates, proof of residency, previous school and contact information. Students must be present at enrollment. New students will not be enrolled on the first day of school, Funkhouser said.

District-wide open house will be held from 5-7 p.m. on Aug. 14.
