Wednesday, July 19, 2017

Camp Barnabas, a summer camp for individuals with special needs and chronic illnesses, is holding a drawing for a 1980 International Scout II valued at over $18,000. All proceeds benefit the Camper Scholarship Fund. This fund provides the means for campers with disabilities to experience the life-changing opportunities within the gates of Camp Barnabas. The winning ticket will be drawn Oct. 28 at the Glamping for Camping fundraising event.

This 1980 International Scout II is one of a kind, comes all the way from Austin, Texas, and has been completely restored, including aftermarket finishes to offer modern convenience.

Whether you are an off-road adventure seeker or a laid-back cruiser, this Scout is for you. Tickets are available online at http://www.campbarnabas.org/scout/. Tickets are $25 for one, or $100 for five. You do not have to be present to win. Delivery charges may apply.

The Scout will be on display at various businesses in the Springfield community. If you would like to have the Scout at your business or an upcoming event, please contact Krystal Simon at 417-708-5297 or email, at krystal@campbarnabas.org.

Every summer 2,000 individuals with special needs and chronic illnesses attend Camp Barnabas. Over half of our campers need financial assistance. Purchasing a ticket not only gives you the chance to win the Scout, but also allows you the opportunity to impact the lives of our campers. Camp Barnabas depends on those who believe that individuals with special needs deserve to experience the fun and inspiration camp brings. To learn more visit www.campbarnabas.org.
