Kyle Wilkerson, COO and president of MariCorp U.S., a marina construction company with installations all over the U.S. that operates out of Shell Knob, was recently named to the 2017 Boating Industry 40 Under 40.

Wilkerson has been recognized as one of the marine industry’s top young leaders by Boating Industry, the leading trade publication for the marine industry.

“These young leaders are having a significant impact on the future of the industry,” said Brianna Liestman, managing editor of Boating Industry. “These 40 individuals were chosen for their work so far — and the potential we see in them to continue to carry the industry forward."

"Kyle joined MariCorp U.S. as a regional sales representative in 2007 at the age of 19, and worked his way to COO by 2012 at age 24,” said MariCorp U.S. CEO Scott Fitzpatrick. “In 2015, Kyle added the title of president, and has direct responsibility over the day-to-day operations of the company. During his time with the company, and largely due to his leadership, sales have increased nearly 1,000 percent, and the business has developed from a small regional dock manufacturer to the leader in floating galvanized dock systems in the country.

"We are very proud of Kyle and all that he has accomplished in the early years of his career at the age of 29," said Fitzpatrick. "We are excited to see what is in store for him in the years to come.”

The 2017 40 Under 40 appears in the July issue of Boating Industry. The program garnered nearly 200 nominations for this year’s list.
