Loye Russell Rose, age 82, of Cassville, passed away Wednesday, July 12, 2017.

He was born Jan. 18, 1935, in Barry County, the son of Johnny J. and Queen Isabella (Cargile) Rose. On Feb. 2, 1957, he was united in marriage to Ronnie Sparkman, who survives. Also surviving are three sons, Loye Rose and his wife Connie, Coy Rose and Cody Rose and his wife Starla and two daughters, Stacy Norris and her husband Rick and Nikki Faber all of Cassville; four brothers, J.D. Rose and his wife Janet of Washburn, Sam Rose and his wife Helen of Cassville, John Rose and his wife Sue of Republic, and Glenn Rose and his wife Drucie of Washburn; two sisters, Lola Vanzandt and her husband Carroll of Washburn, and Lula Patrick of Rogers, Ark.; a sister-in-law, Mary Rose of Washburn; 15 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. Preceding him in death were his parents and one brother, Charles “Doc” Rose.

He graduated from high school at Washburn. For 23 years, he was employed at Schreiber Foods in Monett and also farmed. In 1998, he retired to the farm raising cattle and horses. He attended First Baptist Church in Cassville. Services were held Saturday at First Baptist Church in Cassville under direction of Fohn Funeral Home. Pastor James Weaver and Pastor Rick Cooper conducted the services. Burial was at Oak Hill Cemetery at Cassville.
