Robert McCormick Crouch
Robert McCormick Crouch, 71, of Shell Knob, passed away Thursday, July 13, 2017 at Circle of Life Hospice in Bentonville, Ark.
He was born April 28, 1946 in Waukesha, Wis., the son of Bee and Edith (Knudsen) Crouch. On Nov. 7, 1970, in Kansas City, he was united in marriage to Elizabeth Ann (Liz) Mahoney, who survives.
Additional survivors include: one sister, Janet Tyner of Olathe, Kan.; two brothers-in-law, Joe Mahoney and his wife Pam of Louisburg, Kan., and John Mahoney and his wife Judy of Claremore, Okla.; two sisters-in-law, Rosie Dupus and her husband Steve of Edmond, Okla., and Teresa Tow and her husband John of Claremore, Okla. Preceding him in death were his parents and one brother, Jim Riggs.
He graduated from Westport High School in Kansas City. He received his officer training at Fort Sill, Okla. During the Vietnam War, he served in the U.S. Army, receiving a Bronze Star. For several years, he was employed by the city of Kansas City as a police officer. In 1997, he moved to Shell Knob and worked on Kings River Golf Course.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Cremation arrangements are under direction of Fohn Funeral Home in Shell Knob.
