L.E. May, 88, of Cassville, passed away Thursday, June 29, 2017, at Roaring River Health and Rehabilitation Center.
A graveside service was held Monday at Prairie Lawn Cemetery in Wellington, Kan.
He was born May 17, 1929, in Exeter, to Rob and Goldie May. On March 3, 1950, he was united in marriage to Thelma Jean Long at the First Baptist Church in Cassville. They moved to Wellington, Kan., in 1951, and he worked at Boeing for 25 years. He then worked at the City of Wellington water department until his retirement in 1991.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Thelma; sister, Geraldine; one brother, Chug; two sons-in-law, Jerry Eady and Don Johnson; and brother-in-law Wayne Jesseph.
Survivors include: one brother, Leland May of Cassville; sister-in-law Chlorene Jesseph of Cassville; son, Terry May and wife Robin of Stella; daughters, Janice Johnson and Sandy Eady, both of Wellington, Kan.; Roxie Lintecum and husband Jim of Halstead, Kan.; eight grandkids; 23 great-grandkids; and two great great-grandkids.
