Janice R. Brasel
Janice R. Brasel, 80, of Cassville, passed away on Thursday, June 29, 2017, at Cassville Health Care and Rehab. She was born on Oct. 30, 1936, in Mattoon, Ill., daughter of Raymond and Helen (Weighel) Kastl. She graduated from Manual High School in Peoria, Ill., and received a degree from Brown’s Business School in 1979. On Aug. 14, 1954, she was united in marriage to James Neal Brasel in Peoria.
Survivors include: her husband, James Brasel, of Cassville; four sons, Michael James Brasel and his wife Sheryl, of Poplar Grove, Ill., Greggory Scott Brasel and his wife Lisa, of Auburn, Wash., Jeffery Staurt Brasel and his wife Vicki, of Roselle, Ill., and Christopher Raymond Brasel and his fiancé Kendra, of Cassville; two daughters, Tonya Lynn Dominguez and her husband Joseph, of Marengo, Ill., and Kimberly Demming and her husband Daren, of Niles, Ill.; 12 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; three brothers, Jerry Kastl and his wife Nancy, of Washington, Ill., Harold Kastl and his wife Sandy, of East Peoria, Ill.; and Larry Kastl and his wife Carol, of Indianapolis, Ind.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her infant daughter Tamara who passed away in 1961.
The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday, July 7, at the White Funeral Home and Crematory. Rosary will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 8, at St. Edwards Catholic Church in Cassville with Mass to follow at 10 a.m.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of the White Funeral Home and Crematory, Cassville.
