Maxine Ruth Crider
Maxine Ruth Crider, 96, of Exeter, passed away Saturday, June 17, 2017, at her home.
She was born July 29, 1920, in Gravette, Ark., the daughter of John and Effie (Rawley) Slagle. In 1939, she was united in marriage to James Arthur “Art” Crider who preceded her in death. Also preceding her in death were her parents; one son, James Crider; two brothers; and five sisters.
Survivors include: one son, Steve Crider and his wife Linda of Washburn; four daughters, Glenna Wilhite, Rama Jo Coffer and Karen Garrett, all of Ridgley, and Ronda Raynor and her husband Gary of Jenkins; 16 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
She received her education at Ridgley and Wheaton. She was a homemaker and also worked at the garment factory for a while. She was a member of Ridgley Baptist Church where services were held Thursday, June 22, under direction of McQueen Funeral Home in Wheaton. Burial was at Leann Cemetery at Leann.
