Purdy Class of 1967 to celebrate 50 years

To celebrate 50 years since the 1967 class graduated from of Purdy High School, classmates are invited to get together on June 24 at 3:30 p.m. at the Angus Branch Steakhouse, located at 114 Chapel Drive in Monett. Spouses and friends welcome. Each attendee must pay for their own food. Afterward, the class will be honored at the Purdy High School Annual Reunion at 6 p.m. in the school cafeteria. Classmates for whom the organizers have no current contact information include: Wanda (Lemons) Butler, Tom Schibbelhute, Kay (Elgin) Adams, Jeannie (Balmas) Lupe, Ronnie Pryer and Valarie Hale.†

Habitat ReStore hosting Grand Opening on Thursday

The Habitat for Humanity ReStore will have its Grand Opening on Thursday at 9 a.m. The new ReStore is located at 900 W 10th St., which is in between B&P Grocery and All-Points Recycling. The Chamber of Commerce will be there for the ribbon cutting. There will be food and drinks.

Sign-ups being accepted for School Readiness Fair

Sign-ups for the 16th Annual School Readiness Fair are being taken at the Ozark Area Community Action Corporationís Barry County Neighborhood Center through July 7 for students Pre-K through 12th grade who will be attending school in Barry County this coming school year. Pre-registration is required, and people may call for appointment at 417-847-2140.†The School Readiness Fair will be held on Aug. 2 at the Family Life Center.

Hootenanny Craft Fair and Bluegrass Concert scheduled

The Washburn Chamber of Commerce has announced the restart of the annual Hootenanny Craft Fair and Bluegrass Concert, set for June 24, with a rain out date of July 8. Vendor or music info is available by calling Cheryl Floyd at 417-671-1610, or Sallie Main at 417-843-3806.

HiSET tests available at Crowder Cassville

Crowder College in Cassville will offer high school equivalency (HiSET) testing through August. Remaining test dates include: July 14 and Aug 4. For more information, people may call 417-847-1706.
