Veva Ann (Byers) Saville
Veva Ann (Byers) Saville, age 81, passed away peacefully on Sunday morning, June 4, 2017, while at Bentonview Park Health and Rehabilitation Care Facility in Monett, Mo.
Born August 10, 1935, in the Bethlehem Community in Northwest Arkansas, Veva was the fifth child of ten to Olen and Esta (Gholson) Byers.
She was united in marriage to Freddie R. Saville and to this union, three children were born.
Veva was retired from Fasco where she worked for twenty-five years.
Before diabetes took a toll on her, she enjoyed playing Bingo, listening to “Old Time” country music and spoiling her dog.
She was preceded in death by her oldest son, Richard Dwayne Saville; her parents, Olen and Esta Byers; two brothers, Glen Byers and Jack Byers; and one sister, LaRue Foster.
Veva is survived by her son David Saville, of Purdy, Mo.; her daughter, Janice Saville Courdin, of Monett; siblings, Clara Houston, of Las Vegas, Nev., Johnnie Byers and wife Patricia, of Bullhead, Ariz., Powell Byers, of Bentonville, Ark., LaVon Hauser and husband Don, of Palm Springs, Calif., Roy Byers and wife Betty, of Bella Vista, Ark., and Sue Ellen Lee and husband Tommy, of Prairie Grove, Ark.; as well as a host of nieces and nephews.
Memorial services for Veva will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 7, 2017, at Buchanan Funeral Home with Reverend Russ Neill officiating. Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. prior to the service. At a later date, Veva will be laid to rest in Cofelt Cemetery in Gentry, Ark. Memorial contributions can be made to Good Shepherd Hospice or to the American Diabetes Association in care of the funeral home.
