Man allegedly fired gun at victim with child present
An Eagle Rock man has been arrested and charged with three felonies after allegedly shooting someone at a home on Farm Road 1218 in Eagle Rock on May 22.
Thomas Crone, 56, of Eagle Rock, is charged with first-degree domestic assault, armed criminal action and endangering the welfare of a child.
According to a probable cause statement filed by Deputy Taylor Lombard, with the Barry County Sheriff's Office, Crone allegedly knowingly attempted to kill or cause injury to an adult victim by firing a semiautomatic handgun at the person, grazing the victim's right leg.
Lombard said the act also created substantial risk to the health and live of a minor, who was in the home and in close proximity of the altercation.
Crone is being held in the Barry County jail on a cash-only bond of $50,000. He has been arraigned, and a disposition hearing is scheduled for June 6 at 8:30 a.m. in the courtroom of Judge Robert Foulke.
