Cassville Library invites residents to enjoy rich mix of summer activities

The Cassville Branch Library is building all kinds of good things, and paving the way to a better world with positive, fun and enriching activities for residents of all ages to enjoy this summer. Here's a lineup of events for its Build a Better World-themed summer reading program:

Preschool Story Times, Thursdays at 10 a.m. (ages 0-3)

• June 8: All About You

• June 22: Construction Zone

• June 6: All Around the Town

• July 20: Home Sweet Home

Children's Programs, Thursdays at 3:30 p.m. unless otherwise noted (ages 3 to 12)

Friday, June 9: Oh My Gosh Josh presents Build a Better Story

• June 15: Up in the Sky, Down in the Ground; animals from Dickerson Park Zoo

• June 22: WildHeart presents, Build a Better World

• June 29: Build it Better with the Cassville Library Lego Club (must be registered in SRC to attend)

• July 6: Build a Better Community with Cassville Police Chief Police Dana Kammerlohr and her Canine Companion

• July 13: Magic of Recycling with Ronald McDonald

• July 20: The Fishin' Magicians present Build a Better World Through Books

• July 27: BOOM! Stories and Science with Will Stuck

Teen Summer Reading Club (ages 13 to 18)

• Tuesday, June 13 at 3:30 p.m., Blueprints for Leadership

• Tuesday, July 11 at 3:30 p.m., Demolition and Restoration

Adult Summer Reading Club (ages 18 and older)

• Saturday, July 17 at 2 p.m., Canvas Painting Party (please sign up at front desk)

• Saturday, July 15 at 2 p.m., Let's Create Mosaic Flower Pots (please sign up at front desk)

Additional adult programs this summer include the following. Check with front desk for dates and times.

• Crochet class

• Monday Movie Matinee

• Color Me Mellow

• Trivia

• Sewing and Quilting
