Clute creates Recreational Library at Central Crossing Senior Center

Wednesday, May 24, 2017
On Wednesday, May 17, Sharon Clute received special recognition for her efforts in creating and organizing the Recreational Library at Shell Knob’s Central Crossing Senior Center. What center administrators report was once no more than an over-sized closet with a few paperbacks has now become a dedicated room in which seniors can sit back and enjoy a current best seller, a book on tape or a classic ‘Who unit?’ surrounded by the comforts of home. The titles are ever-changing as Clute works to provide fairly new titles for her patrons to enjoy. The Center thanks Clute and all who have helped make the library a source of recreation and success. Guests are invited to enjoy the library and other activities offered at the center during its normal hours of operation Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Pictured are Clute, who was presented with a special plaque for her contributions to the library, and Jeff Harp, chief publicity officer for the center.
