Cassville High School graduate Olivia Padilla has won the District Rotary Speech Contest.

Padilla first won the speech competition at the Cassville Rotary Club, then advanced to the regional level, where she was one of four to move on to districts. At the district competition, she placed first.

Cassville Rotary Club is a member of District 6110, which includes 79 clubs in the states of Oklahoma, Arkansas, Kansas and Missouri.

Padilla both wrote and performed her speech based on the Rotary Four-Way test. The test asks members to consider the following of the things we think, say or do:

Is it the truth?
Is it fair to all concerned?
Will it build goodwill and better friendship?
Will it be beneficial to all concerned?
