The Cassville FFA Poultry Team placed 13th out of 48 teams. Members include: Josie Lone, Lindee Mitchell and Madry McCrackin. The Dairy Cattle Team placed fifth out of 60 teams. Members include: Jace Mason, Cole Jackson, Andrew Littlefield and Grady Stephenson. The chapter also had four state degree recipients: Jason Mason, Kreyton Blisard, Kyle Cheek and Colton Dilbeck. Four were members of the state chorus, which included: Catie Edmondson, Jacob Hall, Seth Stockton and Kel Wilson. Trey Sturgell also represented the FFA Chapter well, winning the Beef Production category at the area level. The Cassville High School FFA chapter had their first chapter banquet Friday night. With many tears and memories, three officers retired their jackets as they wore the blue and gold for the last time. Many received awards during the event, including Mattie Stephenson (pictured in photo), recipient of the Blue and Gold award. Cassville FFA advisors and officers presented over 200 awards, certificates, degrees and plaques throughout the evening. FFA is a national organization that starts local; the chapter has a new group of officers that plan to make that their goal. Cassville FFA Chapter officers for the 2017-2018 year were named at the event: Andrew Littlefield, president; Cole Jackson, vice president; Josie Lone, secretary; Alexis Coursey, treasurer; Lindee Mitchell, reporter; Seth Stockton, sentinel; and Caden Swearingen, historian.
