Dollar General reopens on higher ground

Wednesday, May 10, 2017
The new Dollar General 16 store opened at the corner of 11th and Main streets on May 2 at noon. The new store features more space, expanding from its previous size of 5,800 feet to 7,300, an expanded health and beauty section, 22 coolers offering a wider selection of frozen and refrigerated foods and a more efficient, expanded checkout area. The previous store location at 401 Main barely escaped another flooding episode with recent record-setting floodwaters ravaging not only Barry County, but Missouri, Arkansas and other areas. The Dollar General opened in its new location May 2, at the corner of 11th and Main streets. The expanded store provides more space, selection and the same convenience as always. The store moved from its previous, smaller location, due to repeat floodings. Julia Kilmer/reporter@cassville-democrat.com
