Mercy raises awareness during Mental Health Month
Senior Life Solutions offers outpatient
Each year, millions of Americans face the reality of living with a mental health condition.
According to the National Alliance on Mental Health, one in five Americans will be affected by a mental health condition in their lifetime. During the month of May, organizations across the country will be raising awareness of the importance of mental health.
This year, Senior Life Solutions at Mercy Hospital Cassville, located at 94 Main St., is helping fight stigmas, provide support, educate the public and advocate for equal care. It will be offering free mental health screenings to seniors in need and providing education to the community on mental health. Senior Life Solutions will also be offering depression screenings to the general public on May 11 from 7:30-10 a.m. in conference room C.
Senior Life Solutions is an intensive outpatient group therapy program designed to meet the unique needs of older adults over the age of 65 struggling with depression and anxiety often related to aging.
