SKITS to hold upcoming Spring play, ‘Million Dollar Meatballs’
The cast and crew of SKITS’ spring play are busy rehearsing, building the set and preparing for opening night of 'Million Dollar Meatballs.'
Play dates are Friday and Saturday, April 28 and 29, at 6:30 p.m., and Sunday, April 30, at 2:00 p.m. The play will be held at the same venue, the United Methodist Church on YY, just off Highway 39.
The comedy, about two bumbling jewel thieves who are on the run from the cops when they duck into a restaurant, will keep the audience laughing with the antics, insanity and mistaken identities of the colorful characters.
Director Susan Ramonette shared her perspective on the play: “As a first time director, this is a challenge; the challenge is to get the actors to stop laughing during rehearsal.”
Tickets are $7 and will go on sale in Shell Knob at The Chamber of Commerce, Jug n' Plug and Arvest Bank.
Guests may also arrange for tickets to be picked up at the door in Will Call fashion for $7; please call 417.858.9590 to reserve these tickets. Ticket prices at the door will be $9. Children 12 and under are free.
Some membership levels and sponsors receive reserved seats.
Carmelina's Italian Bistro is offering a discount to play-goers, and to give guests a taste of the play theme, the Methodist Ladies will be selling hot meatballs, along with their tasty snacks. There is a limited amount for each play. Jug n' Plug offers a discount on the back of every ticket, providing another incentive to see the play. Personal Touch Carpet and Upholstery Cleaning, Cool Canine, Meeks and Arvest Bank have helped to sponsor SKITS and the play.
SKITS is grateful for the support it receives from the community.
So mark your calendars for April 28, 29 or 30 …and we’ll look forward to entertaining you.
