Those with produce they would like to sell, or those with homemade products, are encouraged to check out the market. On the last Wednesday of each month, the market will host swap meet-type event. People may bring their extra gardening or tools or crafts and set up along with the Farmerís Market.

LARRY ASH

Larry Eugene Ash, 75, of Cassville, passed away Thursday, May 18, 2017, at his home.

He was born April 17, 1942, in Barry County, the son of Hershel and Edith (Hoenshell) Ash. On Oct. 9, 1981, he was united in marriage to Darelene Buchanan, who survives.

Additional survivors include: one son, Landon Saunders of Purdy; two daughters, Laurie Speakman and her husband Todd and Kristy Paul and her husband Shane all of Butterfield; one brother, Lonnie Ash and his wife Sandra of Purdy; one sister, Verna Sue Wallace of Exeter; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Preceding him in death were his parents; one sister, Betty Smith; and a brother-in-law, Bill Wallace.

He grew up and received his education at Purdy, where he graduated from high school. During the Vietnam War, he served in the U.S. Army from Nov. 3, 1966, until Nov. 1, 1968. He was a cattle farmer. He was employed at Wintech and did construction work in this area. He was a member of Log Church of God Holiness.

Graveside services with military honors were held Monday at Log Church Memorial Gardens in Butterfield, under direction of Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville. Pastor Carolyn McNabb conducted the services.
