Thursday, Feb. 14

SilverTeens: The SilverTeens single seniors group will have supper at 6 p.m. at Lai Lai’s Asian Buffet, located at 601 Bridle Lane in Monett. for more information, people may call BJ at 417-393-9212.

PAT: Cassville R-IV Parents as Teachers will host a Valentine “make and take” craft day from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.. Children ages birth to school age and living in the Cassville school district are invited to stop by and create a Valentine craft with Ms. Nola. Those interested in attending should park in the gravel lot and enter the building by the “Mercy” banner.

Center: The Central Crossing Senior Center will host a Valentine’s Lunch from 11:15 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Lunch will include chicken parmesan, bacon-wrapped asparagus and cheesecake for dessert.

Friday, Feb. 15

Class: The Cassville Branch Library will host a Crochet with Kathy class at 10:30 a.m.

Center: The Central Crossing Senior Center will host a 30-minute balance and flexibility class each Friday, starting at 9:30 a.m.

Center: The Central Crossing Senior Center will host Cribbage games from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. each Friday. Sharon Clute is the instructor.

Saturday, Feb. 16

Market: The Cassville Farmers’ Market will be open on the courthouse square from 7-11 a.m., with fresh produce; raw, local honey; baked goods; farm-fresh eggs; meats; fudge; jams and jellies; and crafts available. To become a vendor, people may call Albert Wolfe at 417-652-7308.

Dance: The Seligman Chamber of Commerce will host a dance at the Seligman Chamber Event Center at 7 p.m. Admission is $5 each and attendees are asked to bring a snack to share. No alcohol or smoking is allowed. For more information, people may call 417-662-3612.

Meeting: The Barry County Genealogical and Historical Society will meet at 1 p.m. at the Bayless/Salyer House in Cassville.

Center: The Central Crossing Senior Center will host a Valentine Weekend Brunch from 8:30-10:30 a.m. The meal will include french toast, sausage, bacon, fruit salad and drinks for a free will offering.

Monday, Feb. 18

Center: The Central Crossing Senior Center will host a healthy lifestyle support group each Monday from 8:45-9:30 a.m.

Center: The Central Crossing Senior Center will host dominoes each Monday at 12:30 p.m.

Library: The Cassville Branch Library will host a Yoga session at 4:30 p.m. The class is led by Cheyenne Stone, a certified instructor, and the cost is $10. People should bring their own mats and come 10 minutes prior to the start of the class.

Closings: The Barry County Courthouse, Barry County Judicial Center, Central Crossing Senior Center and all branches of the Barry-Lawrence Library will be closed for President’s Day.

Tuesday, Feb. 19

Meeting: The Southern Missouri Beekeepers of Monett will hold its regular meeting at 7 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Monett, located at 1600 N. Central Ave. Anyone interested in beekeeping is welcome, and for more information, people may call Leon Riggs at 417-235-5053.

Meeting: The Capps Creek Special Road District will meet at 6:30 p.m. at Garry Bartkoski’s shop, located at 3487 Farm Road 2040 in Monett.

Meeting: The Silver Leaf Benefit Club will meet at the Crowder College Community Building at 1 p.m. The speaker is Angela Seymour, who will present the Crowder College Eduction Program.

Meeting: The Barry County Republican Club will hold its monthly meeting on in Monett at the Angus Branch Steakhouse at 6:30 p.m.
