If the early bird gets the worm, it will also get a donut at Dough Co. Donuts, which recently opened its doors in Cassville.

The store, which opened its doors bright and early March 1, is open from 5 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday through Sunday, and also offers a variety of donuts, breakfast sandwiches, coffee and beverages, and it has a convenient drive through.

Store owner Kanha Khieu said the business was so busy on its first day, they had to continually make more donuts to keep up.

She and husband Vannwathanak Hun also own and operate the Donut Palace in Aurora, and a Daylight Donuts store in Berryville, Ark.

Khieu said they noticed there was no donut shop in Cassville, discovered a space available for lease along Main Street (where Mercy Medical Supply previously resided), and decided to set up a store.

"It's a good spot," Khieu said.

The donut shop serves glazed donuts, apple fritter donuts, creme-filled donuts, long Johns, cake donuts, breakfast sandwiches and croissants, a special deep-fried breakfast sandwich, and pigs in a blanket (regular and spicy version).

To celebrate its opening, during the month of March, the donut store is offering various specials. People may visit the store at 101 S. Main Street for more details.
