Roland “Butch” Rich, 70, of Cassville, passed away at his home on Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2017. He was born on Feb. 8, 1946, in Lincoln, Ill., son of Howard and Florence (Pierce) Rich. He was a 1964 graduate of Wilmington High School in Wilmington, Ill. He joined the U.S. Navy serving from 1964 to 1968, and later enlisted in the Missouri National Guard serving from 1968 to 1980. On June 5, 1971, he was united in marriage to Pamela Welch. He worked for many years at Wells Aluminum. He was a member of the Oak Ridge Missionary Baptist Church in Cassville.
Survivors include: his wife of 45 years, Pam Rich, of Cassville; one son, Harry Rich, of Cassville; one brother, Charles Rich and his wife Shirley, of Alamogordo, N.M.; and one sister, Mary Dempsay and her husband Ron, of Denver, Colo.

Memorial services with military honors will be held Saturday at White Funeral Home and Crematory with Pastor Larry Henbest officiating. Cremation arrangements were under the direction of the White Funeral Home and Crematory, Cassville.
