Kindergarteners exceed goal, collect 232 cans of food to donate

On Thursday, Jan. 26, kindergarten students at Eunice Thomas Elementary School celebrated the 100th day of school. In early January, Mandi Lyall’s class began collecting cans of food as part of their discussions on how to help others in the community.  Their goal was 100 cans for the 100th day of school. The students far exceeded their goal, collecting 232 cans, donated by the children and their class business partner, Able 2 Products. The cans of food were donated to the Helping Hands Community Food Pantry in Eagle Rock.  Pictured is Lyall with her kindergarten class and Caleb Buntin from Able 2 Products. Contributed photo
