Glenn Barnard, 91, of Stella, passed away Saturday, Feb. 11, 2017, at Mercy Hospital in Joplin.
He was born April 15, 1925, in Harrisonville, the son of Charles E. and Lillie May (Winchel) Barnard. On April 8, 1966, he was united in marriage to Mary Willis.
Survivors include: one son, William Glenn Barnard and his wife Nicole of Belton, Texas; one daughter, Ruth Ann Spano and her husband George of Lakewood, Colo.; foster son Karl Jacobs of Oklahoma; four grandchildren; and two foster grandchildren; his sister, Christina Poitras; several great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife Mary; a granddaughter, and all of his brothers and sisters.
He received his education in Harrisonville. During World War II, he served in the U.S. Army from 1943 to 1945. He was a member of Kingdom Hall-Jehovah’s Witness in Monett.
Funeral services were held Wednesday McQueen Funeral Home in Wheaton. Pastor Billy Joe Gentry conducted the services. Burial was at Macedonia Cemetery at Stella.
