Teen hurt, man arrested after wreck
Vehicles collide south of Purdy when one tried to cross highway
A Seligman teenager was injured Saturday in a wreck at 5:10 p.m. on Highway 37, one mile south of Purdy.
According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Zachary Gardner, 17, of Purdy, was driving a 2005 Dodge Neon southbound when a westbound 1985 Chevrolet Nova, being driven by Richard Henson, 61, of Purdy, attempted to cross the roadway and pulled into the Neon's path.
Kaitlyn Roberts, 15, of Seligman, a passenger in Gardner's vehicle, suffered minor injuries and was transported to Cox Monett Hospital. Gardner and Henson were uninjured.
All involved were wearing safety devices, and both vehicles were totaled.
At 5:45 p.m., Henson was arrested by the Highway Patrol on charges of driving while intoxicated and careless and imprudent driving.
