Exeter man injured in wreck

Pass attempt on Hwy. 86 leads to crash

An Exeter man was injured in a wreck on Thursday at 11:15 a.m. on Highway 86, south of Highway 97.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Jack Rickman, 52, of Mt. Vernon, was driving a 1996 Volvo DD94SE tractor westbound and attempted to pass a 1990 Kenworth T800, being driven by Justin Graham, 36, of Exeter, as it was turning left, leading to the wreck.

Graham suffered moderate injuries and was transported to Mercy Hospital in Cassville. Rickman was not injured.

Rickman was wearing a safety device, and it was unknown if Graham was wearing one. Both vehicles were totaled.
