Jettie N. Hopper
Jettie N. Hopper, 85, of Washburn, passed away in her home on Friday, Jan. 27, 2017. She was born on Dec. 22, 1931, in Hartshorne, Okla., daughter of Harvey and Bessie (McKinney) Hulsey. Her father passed away when she was a very young girl and she was raised by her mother and stepfather, Charles Milner. On Dec. 27, 1950, she was united in marriage to Tomie Hopper in Las Vegas, Nev.; he preceded her in death. In 1960, she was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Lindsey, Calif. She attended the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Cassville.
Survivors include: one son, Tommy Hopper and his wife Carmen, of Manteca, Calif.; two daughters, Cynthia Hicks, of Washburn, and Sharman Burch and her husband Carl, of Porterville, Calif.; daughter-in-law, Ginger Hopper, of Porterville, Calif.; 10 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her son, Dalen Hopper, her son-in-law, Steven Hicks, and five siblings.
Memorial services were held Saturday at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Cassville with Larry McCoig officiating.
Cremation arrangements were under the direction of the White Funeral Home and Crematory, Cassville.
