Youa Lee, 53, of St. Paul, Minn., formerly of Purdy, passed away Thursday, Jan. 19, 2017, at Galtier Health Center in St. Paul.
She was born June 2, 1963, in Laos the daughter of Nhia Xiong Lee and Pa Yang Lee. In 1980, she was married to Bee Yang who preceded her in death on June 22, 2013. Also preceding her in death were her parents.
Surviving are seven children, Nub Yang, Jai Yang, Mai See Yang, Blia Yang, Thongkham Yang, Mai Xong Yang and Koua Yang; eight grandchildren, Cha Her, Xong Her, Cho Her, Yeng Sue Her, Ntoo Her, Yer Her, Rosebella Chang and Yumi Chang; one brother, Nhao Bee Lee and two sisters, Yer Lee and Mao Tong Lee.
Youa and her husband immigrated to Thailand in 1981 from Laos. In 2004, they moved to the United States and lived in California for a few years. In 2008, they moved to Purdy to make their home, where Youa remained until the death of her husband, when she moved to St. Paul, Minn., and lived with her children.
Services will be held from 8 a.m. until 12 (midnight) Saturday, Feb. 4, 2017 and from 7 a.m. Sunday until Monday morning at McQueen Funeral Home in Wheaton.
Burial will be at 9 a.m. Monday at Dice Cemetery in Fairview.
