Bobby "BOB" Roger Elliott

Bobby "BOB" Roger Elliott, 78, of Joplin, formerly of Cassville, passed away Saturday, Dec. 31, 2016, at Mercy Hospital, Joplin.

He was born on Feb. 6, 1938, in Cato, Mo., the son of William and Gracie (Ennis) Elliott. He was a veteran serving his country with the U.S. Army and the United States Air Force.

He married Shirley Danley on Nov. 10, 1960, in Littleton, Colo.

He worked for Tri State Trucking Company as a truck driver. He was a member of the Shriners Elks Lodge, and was a 32nd Degree Mason.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Bill Elliott.

Survivors include his wife, Shirley, of 56 years of the home; three sons, Bobby J. Elliott, of Joplin, William Elliott, of Joplin, and Ronnie Elliott and wife, Brenda, of Joplin; two daughters, Debra Turner and husband, Kenneth, of Pierce City, Mo., and Bobbi Sue Elliott, of Joplin; a sister, Mickey Shaffer; seven grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 4, at the Mason-Woodard Mortuary and Crematory. Burial will follow in the Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery.
