Vehicles collide at Route YY in Shell Knob

Three people, including two minors, were injured in a wreck at 11:15 a.m. on Tuesday on Route YY in Shell Knob.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Robert Marts, 83, of Shell Knob, was driving a 1993 Mazda pickup northbound when his vehicle failed to yield and turned into the path of a 2003 Ford Escape, being driven westbound by Chisty Lodwick, 41, of Shell Knob.

Lodwick and two passengers in her vehicle, Brooke Langley, 9, and Hunter Langley, 8, all of Shell Knob, each suffered minor injuries. all three were transported to Mercy Hospital in Cassville. Marts was not injured.

Marts and Lodwick were wearing safety devices. Brooke Langley and Hunter Langley were not.

Both vehicles were totaled.
