Children enjoy Cookies with Santa at Wheaton Museum

Wednesday, December 14, 2016
Siblings Sidney Row, 6, Demi Row, 3 and Hazel Row, of Washburn, and Dexter Beyer, 4, of Cassville, all got a turn sitting on Santa's lap to share what they wanted for Christmas, along with cookies and a goodie bag, at the Wheaton Historical Museum Saturday night. The annual Cookies with Santa event is held before and after the Wheaton Christmas parade for children. Children also got a free picture with Santa, which were taken by Megan Fehring of Neosho. The Wheaton Historical Society, in conjunction with museum volunteers, had an impressive assortment of holiday cookies and treats available for visitors, along with plenty of coffee and conversation to warm up from what turned out to be a chilly night.
