The Cassville Area Chamber of Commerce helped At The River Consignment celebrated its opening with a ribbon-cutting on Nov. 30. The new business, a consignment store for outdoor gear and accessories, officially opened its doors to the public on Nov. 9, and is located at 44 Main St.. The store is owned and operated by Sam and Jenny Madsen, who moved to Cassville from the Diamond area six months ago. "It's anything related to what you can do outside, hunting, fishing, camping, water sports etc.," said Jenny Madsen. "We have tents, sleeping bags, camping lanterns, pocket knives, Zippo hand warmers, hiking boots -- we have quite a variety. We're also a dealer for a company that sells pocket knives and metal tin signs. There has never been anything like this around here." The store is currently accepting new consigners. Anyone interested may stop by during store hours: Wednesdays, noon to 5:30 p.m.; Thursday and Friday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Hours will extended in spring. The business can also be found on Facebook under the same name. For more information, call the store at 417-793-5179.
