Wheaton to host annual Christmas parade, pictures with Santa

Chili, hot dogs, hot chocolate and cookies in city park

The city of Wheaton will be helping celebrate the holidays by holding its annual Christmas parade on Saturday, Dec. 10, beginning at 6 p.m.

Area residents are invited to see the traditional holiday event, which will travel through town beginning at the Body of Christ Church off Highway 86. In addition to the parade, there will be free hot dogs, chili, cookies and hot chocolate at the city park.

Santa will also be present for the festivities with holiday pictures from 4 to 5:30 p.m. at the Wheaton Depot Museum on Main Street, and after the parade concludes. For more information on being in the parade, call the city offices at 417-652- 3314.
