Michael Joe Stubblefield
Michael Joe Stubblefield, 53, of Cassville, passed away Monday, Nov. 28, 2016, in Oklahoma.
He was born June 25, 1963, in Monett, the son of Gilbert and Betty (Hyde) Stubblefield, of Cassville, who survive.
Additional survivors include: one brother, Matthew Stubblefield and his wife, Bri, of Cassville; and one sister, Heather Carter and her husband, Chris, of Harrison, Ark.
Preceding him in death were one brother, Alan Lee Stubblefield and grandparents, Emit and Mildred Hyde, Chester and Bea Browning and Albert and Ruby Stubblefield.
He received his education at Southwest of Washburn School and graduated from Cassville High School. From July 16, 1981, until July 15, 1985, he served in the U.S. Air Force, serving two of the four years in Korea. He had been a rural mail carrier at Exeter before being sworn in as postmaster at Seligman and then transferred to Eagle Rock. He later became a self-employed logger. He was a member of Corinth Baptist Church but would attend Cassville First Baptist Church. Funeral services were held Saturday at Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville. Pastor James Weaver conducted the services. Burial, with military honors, was at Corinth Cemetery in Cassville.
