Wheaton student signs with Cottey College

Wheaton High School announced that Emily Killion, daughter of Shawn and Michele Killion, signed with Cottey College on Nov. 15 to play volleyball and softball at the collegiate level. Killion is a four-year letter winner as a middle hitter, and won Rookie of the Year as a freshman. As a sophomore, she was a Second Team All-Conference selection. In her junior year, she earned First Team All-Conference honors as well as First Team All-District, All-Region Honorable Mention, and Academic All-State. During Killion's senior year, she earned All-Tournament Team at the Southwest Spikefest, Ozark 7 Conference Player of the Year, All-Conference First Team, All-District First Team, All-Region First Team, and All-State Second Team.
