Bobby N. "Bob" Thompson, 85, of Jenkins, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 15, 2016, in Cassville.
He was born March 17, 1931, in Treece, Kan., the son of Norman and Pansy (Curl) Thompson. On Jan. 19, 1952, he was united in marriage to Nadine Creason, who preceded him in death. Then, Oct. 17, 1975, he was united in marriage to Mary Jane (Moore) Brooks, who also preceded him in death. Also preceding him in death were his parents; four brothers, Frances, Fred, Pat and Richard (Dick) Thompson; one sister, Alice Southard; one granddaughter, Jennifer Deans and a great grandson.
On Oct. 2, 2009, he married Olieva (Robbins) Wolf, who survives. Also surviving are five daughters, Diane Anderson and her husband, Johnny, of Washburn, Donna Deans and her husband, John, of Seligman, Leah Postlewait and her husband, Barry, of Cassville, Rebecca Kirkland, of Branson, and Lisa Forrest and her husband, David, of Neosho; eight sons, Tom Thompson of Pea Ridge, Ark., Jeff Thompson and his wife, Donna, of Washburn, J.R. Thompson and his wife, Ramona, of Rogers, Ark., Mark Brooks, of Washburn, Alan Brooks and his wife, Dortha, of Washburn, David Brooks and his wife, Judy, of Washburn, Aubrey Wolf, of Jenkins, and Donnie Wolf, of Jenkins; 35 grandchildren; and 37 great-grandchildren.
Bob grew up and received his education in Treece, Kan. In 1951, he moved to Missouri to make his home. Over the years, he hauled everything from livestock to ammunition. Bob was a Walmart truck driver for 10 years. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Cassville. Funeral services were held Saturday at Washburn First Baptist Church under direction of Fohn Funeral Home. Pastor Glenn Erwin and Pastor James Weaver conducted the services. Burial was at Mineral Springs Cemetery, Cassville.
