Viola Vivian Ash, 92, passed away Thursday, Nov. 17, 2016, in Granby.
She was born Sept. 11, 1924, in Galena, the daughter of James and Era Foster. On Oct. 20, 1942, she was united in marriage to Hansford Lester Ash who preceded her in death.
Survivors include: one son, Sidney Ash and his wife Linda, of Strafford; two daughters, Sandra Tichenor and her husband John of Wasilla, Alaska, and Angela Mann and her husband, Tom, of Granby; two sisters, Thelma Roetto, of Monett, and Pearl Graves, of Turlock, Calif.; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Also preceding her in death were her parents, one brother and six sisters.
She grew up in the Jenkins area attending school for a short time. She was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church.
Services were held Tuesday at Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville. Pastor Kevin Hilton and Pastor John Henry conducted the services. Burial was at Oak Hill Cemetery in Cassville.
