Chamber of Commerce now accepting parade entries

On the evening of Dec. 3, residents should be sure to bring lawn chairs, blankets, coats and scarves to settle in for a holiday treat -- Cassville's annual Christmas parade.

The Cassville Area Chamber of Commerce is hosting the traditional holiday caravan that is sure to delight crowds as it travels through town down Main Street on Dec. 3, at 6 p.m.

The parade will begin at Cassville High School and Farm Road 2182, or Clover Street, and Santa will again be showing up in the parade.

According to the Brittany Farris, chamber director, trophies will be awarded to religious, non-religious, commercial divisions, marching bands and horse drawn entries. The single unit division will receive trophies for best decorated, oldest and most unusual entries.

All float entries will be entered for the Kids Choice Award, sponsored by Hutchens Construction, which will award one lucky grand prize winner $1,000.

For anyone interested in submitting an entry in the parade, or more details about the event, call the chamber office at 417-847-2814.

Entry forms are due on Nov. 28 by 4:30 p.m.
