Vehicle overturns on Farm Road 1065 near Washburn

A woman was injured and the driver arrested following a wreck Tuesday at 9 p.m. on Farm Road 1065, one mile north of Washburn.

According to a Missouri State Highway patrol report, Michael McCarley, 49, of Seligman, was driving a 2003 Ford Ranger southbound when his vehicle failed to negotiate a curve, ran off the right side of the roadway and overturned.

A passenger in McCarley's vehicle, Sherry Boyle, 47, of Seligman, suffered minor injuries and was transported by ambulance to Northwest Hospital in Bentonville, Ark. McCarley was not injured.

Neither of the occupants were wearing safety devices, and damage to the vehicle was extensive.

At 9:47 p.m., McCarley was arrested on charged of felony driving while intoxicated, no seat belt, no driver's license and failure to drive in the right lane.
