Animal in road causes vehicle to crash

An Aurora teen was injured in a wreck on Sunday at 11:15 p.m. on, Highway B, 3-3/4 miles west of Purdy.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Emily Millyard, 18, of Aurora, was driving a 1993 Dodge truck westbound when her vehicle ran off he roadway to avoid striking an animal standing in the road. The truck overturned and struck a fence.

Millyard suffered minor injuries and was transported by private vehicle to Cox Hospital in Monett.

She was wearing a safety device, and the vehicle was totaled.
