Woman arrested for possession at Walmart
Stealing report leads to search of vehicle
A Washburn woman was arrested on Friday after drugs and paraphernalia were allegedly found in her vehicle parked at Walmart.
Amber Souder, 34, of Washburn, is charged with felony possession of a controlled substance.
According to a probable cause statement filed by Colt Beck, an officer with the Cassville Police Department, he responded to a theft report at 12:59 p.m. and gained consent to search Souder's vehicle.
Beck said he located multiple metallic measuring spoons, regular metallic spoons and three syringes, two of which were in an empty Pepsi can. He said he also found a used Q-tip, a clear straw and a small plastic baggie with residue.
According to the report, after reading Souder her Miranda rights, she said the only thing the spoons and baggie of residue should show positive for is Roxycodone.
Beck said in the report Souder was also charged with misdemeanor trespassing and misdemeanor stealing, but those charges were not listed on CaseNet as of Monday night.
Beck also recommended a possession of drug paraphernalia charge, which was not filed.
Souder is being held in the Barry County jail on a $20,000, cash only bond. She was arraigned on Tuesday.
