The Cassville Area Chamber of Commerce welcomed Rocky Ridge Restaurant and Lounge to the Barry County business community with a ribbon-cutting in Seligman. The restaurant officially opened its doors on Sept. 9 and offers a range of menu items including specialty burgers, wings, appetizers and salads. One special menu item, a family recipe, includes a mammoth-sized breaded pork tenderloin sandwich, at approximately eight ounces. Another specialty item is a large, half-pound burger topped with bacon, onion rings, several slices of cheese and barbecue sauce. Owners Michael and Lois Rush, both Cassville natives, said they wanted to provide a quality dining option for Barry Countians, along with a good place to visit with friends and family to enjoy good food and good company. The restaurant also hosts karaoke on Friday and Saturday nights from 8 p.m. to midnight, and live bands on occasion. On New Year's Eve, it will be hosting local entertainer Clay Morgan of the band, Morgan Squared. Hours of operation are Thursday, 5-10 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 5-1:30 a.m. The restaurant is located at 7952 E. Roller Ridge Road in Seligman, off Highway 37 between Freedom Bank and White Oak Station. For more information about the restaurant, people may call 417-662-7008. Contributed photo
