Wayne Henry Dyer
Wayne Henry Dyer, 90, of Purdy, passed away Thursday, Nov. 10, 2016, in his home.
He was born July 17, 1926, in Holdrege, Neb., the son of Roy and Leona (Everson) Dyer. On Aug. 12, 1946, he was united in marriage to Mary Pierce who survives.
Additional survivors include: three sons, David Dyer and his wife, Jerri Cay of Butterfield, Stan Dyer and his wife, Loralei, of Pleasant Prairie, Wis., and Glen Dyer and his wife, Sebrina, of McHenry, Ill.; seven daughters, Avon Cote, of Lake Geneva, Wis., Ruth Collins and her husband, Don, of Bristol, Wis., Donna Spittle and her husband, Bob, of Salem, Wis., Irene Bakker of Highland Park, Ill., Dianna Dyer, of Purdy, Carla Francisco and her husband, Cisco, of Aurora, and Linda Garner and her husband, David, of Verona; 26 grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild; one sister Patricia Scoville.
Preceding him in death were his parents and three brothers, Dick, Larry and Jim Dyer.
He grew up in Nebraska where he received his education. For several years, he was a self-employed truck driver and mechanic. He had been a fireman and was a member of Lions International, the NRA and Antique Car Club. Funeral services were held Saturday at Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville, Missouri. Pastor Lee Neill conducted the services. Burial will be at Arnhart Cemetery in Purdy.
