2 arrested for rape in Cassville
Pair of men being held on $50,000 bonds
Two men have been arrested and charged for an alleged rape that occurred on Oct. 10 at a home on 14th Street in Cassville.
Johnny Eggleston, 36, of Seligman, and Michael Williams, 26, of Cassville, are each charged with first-degree rape.
According to a probable cause statement filed by Det. Danny Boyd, with the Cassville Police Department, at 10:30 p.m. on Oct. 10, Eggleston and Williams went to the victim's home and took turns holding the victim down while the other allegedly committed the rape.
The victim said repeated cries to stop and the act was not consensual went unanswered.
Eggleston is being held on a cash-only bond of $50,000. He has been arraigned, and a
second court date has yet to be determined. Williams is being held on the same bond amount and was arraigned Monday.
Eggleston was previously charged with domestic assault of another victim with which he was in an intimate relationship. He also allegedly violated an ex parte order to another victim by allegedly texting her from another person's cell phone.
