Group wins multiple trophies in fall competitions

Cassville High School has added another feather in its cap this fall.

In festivals over the past two months, the Cassville Wildcats Marching Band tallied a first-place win and a second-place win, as well as awards for outstanding music, outstanding color guard and outstanding visual effect. The band also earned spots in finals competitions twice.

On Saturday at the Ozark Mountain Marching Festival in Reeds Spring, the Wildcats placed third in preliminary competition in a field of eight bands, earning another finals berth. In finals competition, the band rounded off a successful season by placing second out of six schools, while also winning awards for outstanding drum major and outstanding drumline.

The band would like to thank the all the parents and Band Boosters, as well as patrons and businesses who have supported them throughout this season.

The Cassville Band is led by Director Ed Lammers, Assistant Director Erica Gorman, and Color Guard Instructor Tiffany Barnes.
