Children given free rein to create with engineering activity

Wednesday, October 12, 2016
Children were given free rein to use their imaginations at a library event Thursday, and that they did. The engineering-themed activity, sponsored by the Cassville Branch library and organized by Verna Fry in youth services, supplied just three items -- clothes pins, paper clip holders, and popsicle sticks -- then gave children a list of ideas for a starting place and let them loose. Some of the items the children built were: a bridge, a bendable picture frame, a waterfall, dominos, a tractor, a sled for a tractor and more.
