Central Crossing Senior Center Center Chief Operating Officer/Chief Executive Officer Jerry Arnold welcomes new head cook, Taffie Adams. Adams hails from the Branson area where she served as the head cook at their senior center before deciding to bring her culinary skills to the Shell Knob center.

"We look forward to having Taffie with us," said Jeff Harp, Chief Publicity Officer for the center. Harp invited the public to come in to enjoy home cooked lunches at the center, which are offered Monday through Friday, and to welcome Taffie to the team.

At the same time as the center welcomed a new cook, it also sadly bid farewell to Administrator Sara Patterson, whose last day after retiring from the position after serving two years, was Sept. 16.

"Sara was a really great administrator, and will be sorely missed," said Harp. "She worked tirelessly for nearly two years and always had the best interests of area seniors as her prime motivator. Thank you, Sara."

The center is located on Highway Y in Shell Knob. For more information about the services and activities it offers, call the center at 417-858-6952.
