Purdy man injured in cement truck wreck

Kenworth overturns in roadway on Hwy. 76

A Purdy man was injured Friday in a wreck at 10:40 a.m. on Highway 76 in Ridgley.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Michael Farrington, 28, of Purdy, was driving a 1993 Kenworth cement truck westbound when his vehicle traveled off the right side of the roadway, overcorrected, then overturned in the roadway.

Farrington suffered minor injuries and was transported to Mercy Hospital in Cassville.

He was not wearing a safety device, and the truck suffered extensive damage.
