Shirley Ann Wilson
Shirley Ann Wilson, 91, of Washburn, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 31, 2016. in Cassville Health Care and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born Sept. 21, 1924, in Pittsburg, Kan., the daughter of George Clifford and Elsie Marie (Kessler) Guiles. On Aug. 21, 1943, in Gulfport, Miss., she was united in marriage to Ertie Wilson who preceded her in death. Also preceding her in death were her parents; a daughter, Sue Ellen and four brothers.
Survivors include: two sons, Earl Wilson and his wife, Sue, of Washburn, and Timmy Wilson and his wife, Sandy, of Williamsburg, Va.; one daughter Mitzi Underhill and her husband, Danny, of Rogers, Ark.; one brother, Danny Hudson, of Clever; one sister, Dixie Karn, of Temple, Texas; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
She grew up and received her education in Pittsburg, Kan., where she graduated from high school. For several years, she was a sales clerk at Johnston's Variety Store in Cassville and had worked at Vollenweider Apple Orchard. She was a member of Washburn First Baptist Church.
Funeral services were held Tuesday in Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville. Ken West conducted the services. Burial was at Washburn Prairie Cemetery.
