Polly Ann (Bruton) Wilson

Polly Ann (Bruton) Wilson, 83, of Washburn, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 23, 2016, in Cassville Health Care and Rehabilitation Center.

She was born Aug. 29, 1932, in Washburn the daughter of Walter and Lora (Sparks) Bruton. In November 1960 in Akron, Ohio, she was united in marriage to Clifford Earl Wilson who preceded her in death on March 28, 2007. Also preceding her in death were her parents; one son, Steven; one daughter, Teresa; one sister, Ruth Lay; and three brothers, Bobby Ray, Jim and Lloyd Bruton.

Survivors include: one son, Carey Wilson and his wife, Tammy, of Van Buren, Ark.; one daughter, Suzie Wilson, of Joplin; one grandson; three sisters, Irene Overman of Seligman, and Mary Rose and Norma Harris, both of Washburn.

She graduated from Washburn High School. She cared for approximately 160 foster children, along with hundreds of other children who called her mom or grandma. She was a member of Mission Baptist Church.

Services were held Saturday in Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville. Pastor Dayton Brattin will conducted the services. Burial was at Antioch Cemetery, Cassville.
