Mary Orma Carr
Mary Orma Carr, 81, of Washburn, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 9, 2016.
She was born Sept. 1, 1934, in Springfield, the daughter of Ormund and Mary Eleanor (Paris) Swindle. On Sept. 5, 1952, in Kansas City, she was united in marriage to Jack Olderson Carr, Sr., who preceded her in death. Also preceding her in death were her parents; two sons, Jack Jr., and Jerome Oliver; one brother, Gregory Swindle; one sister, Laree Yates; and a granddaughter.
Survivors include: three sons, Jeffrey Ormand Carr and his wife, Helen, of Sarcoxie, Jesse Orrin Carr of Washburn, and Joel Owen Carr and his wife, Michele, of Gilmer, Texas; one daughter, Diana Alexandria Carr, of Rogers, Ark.; one brother, Weldon Reid Swindle and his wife, Linda, of Washburn; 11 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren.
She was a life-long resident of Washburn and a graduate of Southwest High School. For several years she was a family advisor for OACAC in Barry County. She was a member of the United Methodist Church at Washburn.
Funeral services were held Saturday in Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville. Rick Hendrix conducted the services. Burial was at Washburn Prairie Cemetery, Washburn.
